Taichi Saotome battles dark forces during a sword dance.

Samurai may no longer have feudal warriors to battle against, but there are still dark forces to be fought in Tokyo -- according to a hit video from Team Lab.
Nineteen-year-old actor Taichi Saotome was filmed on stage slicing his way through a mysterious bombardment emanating from dark clouds above.
A duel followed with what seems to be his alter-ego.
The performance was held at the Galaxy Theater Tokyo in January, and organized by installation art specialists Team Lab, who describe themselves as "Ultra Technologists."
The two-and-a-half minute sword dance and shadowgraph is titled "Dragon and Peony."

Taichi and his sword fighting skills are splendind as always.
Him fighting that abstract unreal dark force looks truly real in fact.

Hi! This is Mimi~ I've been stalking this community for a year already and I think this community have been inactive for a while. Hahaha~

Anyway, I want to share this link, where in you can find many videos of Taichi Saotome and his plays and TV appearances including his recent appearance in BANYUUKI: http://www.youtube.com/user/yeongja1

...and I also want to promote the first Daigoro Tachibana Community. He's a good friend of Taichi and also an awesome actor/dancer. I hope you'll support the community.

Thank you~

 hi~

if in case you didn't know, our dear Taichi-kun already has an Ameba blog! and it's official. Yay!

IT'S HERE.

as expected, it's in Japanese. he updates quite regularly sometimes (confusing, eh?) and i notice that some (if not most) of his entries are short and sweet, with a few pictures.

he's had it since May but it was only two months ago that i found out about it.

(sorry, it's my first time to post here. can't find appropriate tags, either. mods, please deal with it accordingly in case i make a mistake)

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was going to try to obtain a ticket for the Hakuouki stage show starring Saotome Taichi. Even though it looked rather bleak, I got a ticket and attended the performance last Friday at the Galaxy Theatre in Shinagawa.

If you'd like to read my review, it's located here at my personal journal.

Crossposted to hakuouki. Apologies if you see this on your friends list twice. ^_^ Enjoy!

Hi everybody! This community looks like it has been dead for a while, but I thought I would introduce myself as a new fan of Saotome Taichi and bring you some news.

Saotome Taichi has been cast to play Hijikata Toshizou in the stage performance of Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan. I don't have much more information in regards to dates or show schedule, but I am hoping to attend a concert. For now, here are a couple of pictures from the most recent volume of Cool-Up in which he and Kimura Ryo are featured.

pics under hereCollapse )

Also, for anyone interested, I made a bunch of icons, which you can find over at my personal journal, here

Here are a few teasers for you:

Mods, if you're around, I'm not sure how to tag this, but let me know and I will add the proper tags to the post if necessary. ^_^

Okay folks, I have a random question/plea for help. I'm going back to Japan for vacation in April and one of my goals is to see Taichi perform. But I feel a bit silly because I can't for the life of me figure out how one goes about getting tickets for a taishu engeki performance, and I can't really figure out the schedule on his website either. So, a couple questions: I understand he mostly performs in Asakusa when he's not traveling...is the schedule on his website just a schedule of special performances or does it include regular performances in Asakusa too? Assuming I can figure out his schedule and he's going to be in Asakusa while I'm there, how does one get tickets for taishu engeki? Do you have to get them in advance or can you just show up at the theater and get tickets (like at a movie theater in the USA)?

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks! :D

After a great deal of procrastination, I finally gave the community a decent layout. It's sort of a modified version of another taichi layout of mine... but its used for RP and I swear like only maybe five people in the world have seen it -- and as far as modifications go, this one was unkind and took just as long (if not longer) than a new one from scratch. ^^;; It still has a few kinks, but I'll live with them. I call a truce. I like how it looks enough.

Also, it doesn't look terrific in IE; I use firefox. Other browsers? Tell me.

Oh, and the mailman came yesterday and brought me presents ♥ -- scans forthcoming.

A whole freaking LOT of scans.
